EDUCATIONAL PROJECTS
Playing music together to learn to live together: the Veronese Youth Orchestra OGV develops choral and orchestral activities in order to express aspirations of girls and boys and to nurture in them their extraordinary social and cultural skills. OGV has launched music preparatory programmes in primary schools; it collaborates with other associations to fulfil a variety of initiatives and workshops of musical theatre about education for social coexistence.
OUR MUSICAL WORKS
OGV organizes events and concerts in prestigious locations and produces compositions in which music, together with poetry, storytelling and theatre, sends a message related to youth world. Above all it creates musical works on issues about childhood. Good examples to understand how OGV speaks about children’s rights through music are the musical works "Il Milione", "Pinocchio", “Non siamo nati per morire!” (“We are not born to die!”) or the new project for 2016, “Iqbal’s dream”.
VILLA BURI MUSICA
Every summer OGV organizes the International Camp for Young Musicians VILLA BURI MUSICA. This is an excellent opportunity for many young people coming from different parts of Italy and Europe, who can live together for twelve days. Working in a close contact, they prepare an original performance in which music merges with theatre and other visual art expressions.
